The Nightmare Before Christmas

Cast Revealed for 30th Anniversary of ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ Hollywood Bowl Concert

The cast for the 30th anniversary performance of The Nightmare Before Christmas Hollywood Bowl concert has been revealed ahead of concerts on Halloween weekend at this historic location. While the concert was announced earlier, the cast has just been announced. Among the cast that will be apart of this concert performance is Catherine O’Hara, who will return to the role of Sally.

The concert performance will see O’Hara reunite with Danny Elfman, who will again sing the role of Jack Skellington all three nights (October 27-29). Elfman originally wrote the music for the film which came out in 1993.

O’Hara will be performing the role of Sally on one of the three performances. Singer-songwriter Halsey will take over the role for the other two nights. These two nights happen to be the first two nights of performances. The concerts will also see Fred Armisen performing the role of Lock, Riki Lindhome as Shok, and Ken Page as Oogie Boogie. They will be accompanied by a full orchestra and choir that will be led by conductor John Mauceri.

“It’s impossible to believe it has been thirty years since Tim Burton made our strange little musical,” Elfman said in September when the concert was announced. “What a tremendous thrill it is to perform it live in concert again at the iconic Hollywood Bowl.”

Tim Burton‘s The Nightmare Before Christmas In Concert event also will include a costume contest along with other Halloween-themed activities. Previous performances of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert have seen both Phoebe Bridgers and Billie Eilish take over the sally role.

For those who want to attend Tim Burton‘s The Nightmare Before Christmas In Concert, tickets are available at the Hollywood Bowl Website.
