Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels along with founder of Her Universe, is kicking off her own universe. Today it was announced through Collider that Eckstein will be leading and lending her voice to a new audio drama for Disney Publishing. There is a not a ton known about this new project, but what is known is exciting.
Here are the things that ARE known about this new audio drama with Ashley Eckstein:
- Ashley Eckstein will be a co-creator, Executive Producer, and also lend her voice to this new project.
- This new project will be a new IP that Disney hopes to expand in the future to other publishing formats.
- This project is aimed at young adults.
- This project will feature a full cast.
- This audiodrama is going to be produced by Jeff Gomez. Gomez is known as a fantasy/sci-fi writer with experience working across mediums. This makes sense if Disney does indeed expand this new IP into multiple publishing formats.
- Currently there is no title or timeline for this audiodrama.
About Ashley Eckstein
- Since 2008, Ashley Eckstein has voiced Ahsoka Tano in various animated Star Wars projects. This included Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi. She also lent her voice for a cameo in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
- In 2010 Eckstein founded Her Universe. This is a clothing line that has the mission to create stylish, fashion-forward merchandise for female sci-fi fans.
- She regularly appears at conventions, geek, and Disney/D23 events.
- In 2018, her book It’s Your Universe, You Have the Power to Make It Happen, was released.
- Ashley Eckstein is an advocate for mental health and created Star Wars Mindful Matters. She also posts on her Instagram on Mondays a #MentalHealthMonday post.
- She is married to former baseball player David Eckstein.

- She is the host of the Her Universe Fashion Show at San Diego Comic-Con Annually.
