Disney is celebrating Halfway to the Holidays! Today, the celebration included some announcements about what guests can look forward to this year for the holiday season at the Disneyland Resort. One of these announcements was the debut of a new look for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse for this holiday season. The announcement comes as there are also some holiday treats to enjoy in the Disney Parks this week as part of the Halfway to the Holidays celebration.
First off, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will be wearing new outfits this holiday season that are mid-century modern-inspired looks. The famous duo will be wearing these outfits at Disneyland Park. They put a playful spin on the very classic red and green colors with pastel colors and prints. These outfits will also have “snowy sparkle,” Disney shared, along with holly brooches which Minnie created herself. If previous years are an indication, Donald Duck, Goofy, and the rest of the gang in Town Square will also be dressing their best for the holiday season as well!
Another holiday tradition will be returning to the Disneyland Resort in the form of it’s a small world Holiday. This family favorite has been an annual holiday experience for many going back to 1997. As guests cruise around the world and hear Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls as they see the children celebrating in their unique ways.
If all of these announcements are whetting your appetite for the holiday season both literally and figuratively, you are in luck! From June 13th through June 15th there are some holiday treats available at the Disneyland Resort.
- In Downtown Disney District, there are Gingerbread Man Macarons at Kayla’s Cake.
- Mickey Gingerbread can be found at Pacific Wharf Cafe in Disney California Adventure (limit 2 per transaction)
- Egg Nog Slush with Rumchata topped with whipped cream and sprinkles can be found at the Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure.
