An attraction that has been a part of Universal Orlando since 1999 has been closed. Poseidon’s Fury was a walk-through attraction that was found in the Lost Continent area of Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
The attraction gave guests a tour through the ruins of Poseidon’s Temple. The tour eventually leads to a battle between Poseidon and his nemesis, Lord Darkennon. The attraction included a live-action tour guide named Taylor and plenty of special effects that included projections, lasers, and fire. Taylor is an archaeological assistant that is a part of the Global Discovery Group and agrees to lead the tour.

The attraction closed forever on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. At this time there has not been an announcement by Universal Orlando about what will be replacing it.
