The Little Mermaid will be arriving in theaters on May 26, 2023. This live-action retelling of a Disney animated classic has Halle Bailey in the role of Ariel. She is joined by a star-studded cast that includes Melissa McCarthy, Javier Bardem, Awkwafina, Daveed Diggs, and more. Recently during the blue carpet world premiere for The Little Mermaid, the people who helped bring the movie to life shared about this film, along with a couple of other special guests! The film is produced by two-time Emmy® winner Marc Platt (“Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert,” “Grease Live!”), Miranda, two-time Emmy winner John DeLuca (“Tony Bennett: An American Classic”), and Rob Marshall, with Jeffrey Silver (“The Lion King”) serving as executive producer.
