Disneyland Resort Announces Final Performance for the Summer of “Wondrous Journeys” Nighttime Spectacular

The nighttime spectacular Wondrous Journeys introduced as part of the Disney100 celebration earlier this year will end its run at the end of the summer. The Disneyland Resort announced today that the nighttime spectacular would conclude its shows for this year on August 31, 2023. This comes just days before the Disneyland Resort will begin its Halloween celebrations throughout the resort. Following this year’s Wondrous Journeys performances, Halloween Screams will return to the skies above Disneyland.

Wondrous Journeys debuted at Disneyland to the public on January 27, 2023. It showcases moments, music, and characters from every Disney animated feature film. Ahead of its official opening, Jordan Peterson, Show Director for Disney Live Entertainment, shared that “‘Wondrous Journeys’ honors the legacy of Walt Disney Animation Studios through a story that mirrors the journey of an artist: starting out with big dreams, buckling down to do some really hard work and finally seeing something that you dreamt about for so long come true. Along the way, all Walt Disney Animation Studios films to date come to life through brand new projections, special effects and an amazing score.”
