It is Halfway to Halloween and guests staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground are going all out to celebrate. Along with decorating their campsites and cabins, they also deck out their golf carts and then parade them through the resort. This year’s Halfway to Halloween golf cart parade, called the “It’s Really Not So Scary” Golf Cart Extravaganza took place from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Guests who were participating first signed up at 11:00 AM at the Bike Barn. They were then were instructed to show up at 1:30 PM at the Hitch & Unhitch area for staging the parade. These guests were then judged with the top three chosen as finalists for the winner’s circle that was later judged at the Campfire Theater.
At 2:00 PM, these decorated golf carts began to make their way along the parade route around the resort. There were many clever different approaches to decorating golf carts for Halfway to Halloween. Daps Magic team member Tracy was on hand to check out this parade. Check out the video and photos here:
The Halfway to Halloween Golf Cart Parade was just one of many different Halfway to Halloween celebrations that were happening at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground over the weekend. There were also crafts, scavenger hunts, tie dye, trivia, campfire trivia, a sing-along, and a Hocus Pocus was played under the stars.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground celebrates many different holidays throughout the year with decorations, golf cart parades, and other festivities. Recently it was announced that the it will become a DVC Resort at Walt Disney World Resort. This will include renovations of the cabins and also upgrades that will be added to the resort.
