This weekend during Star Wars Celebration it was announced that David Tenant will be returning to a galaxy far, far away. The actor will be reprising the role he once had in the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars for the upcoming live-action Ahsoka series.
David Tenant will be once again be heading to the galaxy far, far away as Huyang, the Droid Master. In The Clone Wars, Huang was a droid who was centuries of years old who taught younglings about lightsaber building in a story arc that shared how lightsabers were built by younglings.
The return of David Tenant comes as it appears that the upcoming Ahsoka series sees the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn, Ezra, and other characters from Star Wars Rebels. This series, and others that take place in this era, will culminate in a feature film that is directed by Dave Filoni.
Ahsoka will be arriving on Disney+ in August 2023. On the opening day of Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 a trailer was shown for the series.
