TRON Lightcycle / Run is set to officially open to guests on April 4, 2023. However, guests visiting before this date will get the chance to ride the Magic Kingdom’s newest attraction. Starting on March 20th, TRON Lightcycle / Run will be starting a soft opening period and will be allowing regular day guests to experience the attraction. This will continue through April 2nd and the attraction will be closed on the 3rd ahead of its grand opening.
There will be two ways to experience this attraction: a virtual queue or by purchasing and individual Lightning Lane. The virtual queue will be available twice a day during the soft opening:
- 7:00 AM – For guests who have a reservation that starts at Magic Kingdom. Guests do not need to be in the park to join this virtual queue time.
- 1:00 PM – For guests who have already entered Magic Kingdom.
Starting on April 5, there will be a third virtual queue opportunity at 6:00 PM. This will be for guests of the Walt Disney World Deluxe Resorts. To enter the queue, the guest must have entered a park at some point before 6:00 PM. They do not need to still be in the park, however. Guests will need to have park hopping availability to enter Magic Kingdom and experience the attraction.
This announcement follows an event this week at Magic Kingdom where the attraction was officially dedicated and media and special guests were given the opportunity to experience the attraction.
