Trailer for Season 3 of ‘Star Trek: Picard’ to Debut During AFC Championship Game on CBS

On Sunday, January 29, 2023, a new trailer will debut for season three of Star Trek: Picard. This comes just weeks before the arrival of the third and final series on Paramount+ on February 16, 2023. The trailer will be shown during halftime of the AFC Championship Game on CBS on Sunday. This season is highly anticipated by Star Trek fans as it is being billed as a reunion of Star Trek: The Next Generation crew along with Voyager and DS9 connections as well. The announcement about the trailer’s arrival was shared on social media:

Ahead of the arrival of the trailer on Sunday, a teaser was also released this week. It intertwines moments from season three of Star Trek: Picard with teasers for the AFC Championship Game. The Star Trek moments show some new footage that hasn’t been seen before. It would not be surprising if more of these scenes are shown in the full trailer on Sunday.

Star Trek: Picard takes place approximately two decades after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis. This season won’t just see a return of the crew of the Enterprise-D, but also some old foes. This includes both the hologram that gained sentience Moriarty and also Data’s brother Lore. The hero ship of this season will not be the USS Enterprise but instead the USS Titan. The crew will be facing off against a new villain named Vadic, played by Amanda Plummer. How all these elements of weave together isn’t known. Sunday’s trailer will be the best bet for some answers before season three arrives. The series will be streamed exclusively on Paramount+ on February 16, 2023. This will be the first of many Star Trek series that will be streaming on Paramount+ this year.
