The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival dates and highlights have been announced for Disney. This year, the festival will be returning to Walt Disney World Resort on March 1 and continue through July 5, 2023. This celebration of spring includes beautiful gardens along with entertainment, topiaries, merchandise, and of course food. This year, there will be some additions to the festival for guests to enjoy as well.
First off, there will be some new topiaries coming to the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. For the first time, Mirabel, Antonio, Isabela, and Luisa from Disney’s Encanto will be appearing as topiaries at the festival. These topiaries will be located near the main entrance of EPCOT and will make for great photo opportunities for guests visiting EPCOT.
At the America Pavilion, Princess Tiana will be making her topiary debut. She will join returning topiaries of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Captain Hook and Tick Tock Croc; Figment; Anna and Elsa; and others.
Music fans will be happy that the Garden Rocks Concert Series will be returning. This concert series will bring the America Gardens Theatre to life with favorite musical tunes and performers. Disney promises that details about the performer lineup will be released in the near future.
One of the highlights of any festival at EPCOT is the food. For the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, there will be 15 Outdoor Kitchens to visit and enjoy a variety of food and beverages from. This year, The Citrus Blossom will be moving to The Odyssey. Along with the culinary options to enjoy, there will be merchandise found throughout the festival. This year there will be official ‘70’s inspired Orange Bird merchandise, including apparel, headwear, drinkware, and much more.
Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration will be returning again this year. This is a springtime scavenger hunt that is fun for all ages. Guests will follow Spike the Bee along his pollination trail where he will be collecting nectar and pollinating the gardens of EPCOT. One he is found in each garden on the map, there is a sticker with the plant that connects with the place he is visiting.
There will also be the Blossoms of Fragrance presented by Scentsy experiences found on the bridge to the World Showcase. This experience will offer sights and smells to enjoy as guests follow their noses to the six scent stations. Disney shares that this will create a unique experience that will “form lasting memories with the help of unforgettable aromas.”
