“Making the Wish: Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship” To Air on National Geographic Channel on Christmas Eve

A new program about the making of the Disney Wish, the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, is coming to National Geographic Channel on Christmas Eve. Making the Wish: Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship will be airing on December 24th at 9:00 ET/8:00 CT.

While there hasn’t been a lot revealed about this new special, a brief description was released.

At a two-centuries old shipyard on Germany’s North Sea, a marvel of modern engineering is taking shape. Hundreds of construction workers, engineers, architects, designers, animators, composers, storytellers, cast and crew are transforming 144,000 tons of steel into perhaps the most enchanting vessel ever to take to sea. They’re making the Disney Wish a reality.

This documentary will give a look at how this newest ship in the fleet came to life. It will also air just hours before the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade on the following morning on ABC and Hulu.
