Marvel Studios seems to always have something that is coming out for fans to geek out about. Whether it is on the big screen or Disney+, there is always something just around the corner from Marvel Studios. 2023 will be no different as both movies and the Disney+ series will be arriving frequently throughout the year. This will include some new titles and some returning ones.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

February 17, 2023

In the film, which officially kicks off phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible. Jonathan Majors joins the adventure as Kang. Director Peyton Reed returns to direct the film; Kevin Feige and Stephen Broussard produce.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

What If…?

Spring 2023

“What If…?” flips the script on the MCU, reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways. Marvel Studios’ first animated series focuses on different heroes from the MCU, featuring a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their roles. Season 2 of “What If…?” will release exclusively on Disney+.

Secret Invasion

Spring 2023

Secret Invasion stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos—characters who first met in Captain Marvel. They are joined by Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emilia Clarke, and Olivia Colman. The crossover event series showcases a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.

When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged neice Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team-up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as ‘The Marvels’.”

LokiSeason 2

Summer 2023

An official synopsis hasn’t been released for season two of Loki. However, it was talked about the D23 Expo. Tom Hiddleston shared that “Season two picks up where season one left off.” He continued and said, “Loki is back in the Time Variance Authority. He’s had a very difficult confrontation with Slyvie and Mobius and Hunter B-15 don’t seem to know who he is.” 

“There is a whole cast of new and returning characters to explore the ever-expanding and infinitely more dangerous multiverse,” he added. It was also confirmed that this season will directly connect with the Multiverse Saga.

Echo

Summer 2023

Streaming exclusively on Disney, the origin story of Echo revisits Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.

Ironheart

Fall 2023

Marvel Studios’ Ironheart stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a genius inventor who creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. The series will be coming to Disney+ in Fall 2023.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos

Winter 2023

An official synopsis for Agatha: Coven of Chaos has not been released at this point. All that is known is that this series will be arriving on Disney+ in winter 2023.
