Starting on November 11, 2022, Avengers Campus will be celebrating the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This celebration will continue through January 8, 2023. During it, guests will be able to “encounter, learn from and celebrate the arrival of new visiting warriors, taste Wakanda-inspired delicacies, discover props from the film and more” in Avengers Campus and other places at Disney California Adventure. There will also be a special art installation in place at the Downtown Disney District.
Guests at Avengers Campus will also be able to witness the introduction of the next warrior who will be taking on the mantle of the Black Panther, the Disney Parks Blog promised.
As was announced previously, M’Baku will be appearing at Avengers Campus. He is one of Wakanda’s greatest warriors and also the chieftain of the Jabari Clan. He will be inviting recruits to join in “The Way of the Jabari,” an all-new experience that will share some of the culture of the Jabari Clan with both chants and percussion.
Next to the campus near the Collector’s Fortress, The Black Panther Celebration Garden will honor the legacy of the Black Panther in Wakandan Lore. Guests will be able to relax and reflect on the legendary protectors of the Kingdom of Wakanda.
The Flavors of Wakanda marketplace will be located in the Hollywood Backlot. There, guests will be able to experience the flavorful, spiced traditional African dishes as they experience the culture of Wakanda in a culinary way. There will be dishes from Wakanda including Peri-Peri Chicken with yellow Jollof rice, the Butterfly Pea Tea Lemonade, the Dawa beverage, consisting of vodka, lemonade, honey, ginger beer and butterfly pea tea, and Maafe, a ground peanut stew with sweet potatoes, tomatoes, black-eyed peas and spices, served with naan.
Over at the Shawarma Palace and the Shawarma Palace Too back inside of Avengers Campus, there will be a Wakandan Roasted Pork Wrap to enjoy. This features spiced pork with black garlic sauce and chermoula.
For those who are collecting, or want to begin collecting, those incredible drinking vessels from Avengers Campus, Shuri’s amazing gauntlet will be available (while supplies last). This is one of several different drinking vessels and more that will be found at the Flavors of Wakanda marketplace, Shawarma Palace, Shawarma Palace Too, and other select vending carts near Avengers Campus.
Over at the Super Store Featuring Avengers Campus in Hollywood Land, there will also be props and costumes from the film. There will also be Black Panther-themed gear for fans to suit up for their next mission.
Downtown Disney District will also be celebrating Black Panther: Wakanda Forever with a limited-time mural celebrating the film. This will be created by artist Nikkolas Smith. Smith previously created the art installation King Chad at the location.
The Disney Parks Blog also promised that more information will be released soon on how Avengers Campus at Disneyland Paris will be celebrating the arrival of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
