Guests visiting Magic Kingdom over the course of the last couple of years most likely realized that there was no train. This is due to the construction happening in Tomorrowland for the TRON Lightcycle / Run. This multi-year project will end with a new iconic attraction at Magic Kingdom and also the return of the Walt Disney World Railroad.
This week the Walt Disney World Railroad took one step toward reopening. It was announced that engineers are again being trained to run this train. A post was made on the Walt Disney World Cast and Community social media sharing the news. It said:
Our week started off on the right track! Our first group of Magic Kingdom Cast Members began TRAINing – the next step in the ongoing process to restore the Walt Disney World Railroad. Welcome aboard, and welcome home Engineers!
