In general, there will be a virtual queue that opens three times throughout the day. The first one will be at 7:00 AM for those who have a reservation to visit EPCOT. They will not need to be in the park to request access to the virtual queue via the My Disney Experience app. At 1:00 PM, a second opportunity to request access to the virtual queue via the app will open for those who weren’t able to join the queue earlier. This time guests must be inside EPCOT to access the virtual queue. A third virtual queue will be offered at 6:00 PM for registered guests at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort or other select hotels. These guests do not need to be in EPCOT to attempt to enter the virtual queue.
Lightning Lane will also be available to purchase for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This is subject to availability and guests can purchase Lightning Lane access via the My Disney Experience App as well.
Photos are also taken aboard the attraction. There are two ways to connect them to your photos in the My Disney Experience app. One, simply wear a linked MagicBand and then photos will link to the My Disney Experience App. The other option is to turn on Bluetooth in the My Disney Experience App for a guest’s phone and not leave it in low-power mode. Then simply put it in a pocket and take it on the attraction.
It should be noted that gaining access to the virtual queue does not guarantee access to the attraction. Sometimes things happen that prohibit this.
