Disneyland Resort Announces 2021 Candy Cane Dates

An annual tradition is back at the Disneyland Resort this year. Today the Disneyland Resort released the dates for candy canes being made at Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen at Disneyland along with Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure. This tradition dates back to 1968. The tradition includes mixing ingredients, hand-pulling, rolling, and finally twisting the candy canes into their iconic shape. When finished, each candy cane will be 18 inches long!

Here are the dates that candy canes will be made at the Disneyland Resort:

  • Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen at Disneyland park: Dec. 7, 9,15, 21, 23
  • Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure park: Dec. 8, 14, 16, 22

For those who want to purchase a candy cane, a mobile waitlist system will be utilized. This is due to the limited quantities. Once the mobile waitlist is activated, guests will be able to add their name and phone number at the location. They will receive a text back with a return time to the location for the opportunity to purchase a candy cane. This is subject to availability. Candy canes will not be available through mobile order.

Because of the very limited number of candy canes being made on each release date, purchases will only be allowed in person. Purchases will also be limited to 1 per guest. There are no discounts applicable to the candy canes and no refunds or exchanges are allowed. Disney also may change the release dates and prices.

What do you think of the return of this annual holiday tradition to the Disneyland Resort? Are you excited? Have you had one of these candy canes before? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
