The Disney Wish will begin to take guests on magical cruises next year. This year, however, progress continues to be made on the construction of this new ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Forward Funnel Installed

The huge funnel for the Disney Wish was installed on the top deck in July. This continued the Disney Cruise Line tradition of continuing with the look and feel of classic ocean liners. Each side also has the Disney Cruise Line Logo on it as well.

On the Disney Wish, the forward funnel is the home of the Wish Tower Suite. This is a 2,000-foot penthouse in the sky that has gorgeous views of the ocean. All that is left to do for this suite is to outfit the space.

Last Block Mounted

August brought about the milestone of mounting the last block on the Disney Wish. This was done by a team of Imagineers at the Meyer Werft shipyard. This was a huge step as the team could see the ship come together from the outside. From a construction point of view, the Disney Wish is nearly complete. There is still plenty to be done in terms of outfitting the interior, installing cabins, and also the ship commissioning.

Stern Filigree Completed

The “stern filigree” has also been completed. This stern filigree is what proudly carries the name of the ship: Disney Wish. This is also a preview of what will be seen on the bow filigree.

The Disney Wish is scheduled to be taking guests on magical cruises starting next summer. While not complete yet, plenty of progress has been made. What do you think of this new ship coming to the Disney Cruise Line fleet? Are you excited for it to be launched? Will you cruise on her?
