George A. Kalogridis Honored With Window on Main Street, USA at Magic Kingdom

One of the biggest honors that Disney can give is a window on Main Street, USA. This week, George A. Kalogridis, President of Segment Development and Enrichment for Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, has been given this honor at Magic Kingdom. The window honors him saying:

Kalogridis has a long legacy with The Walt Disney Company. He started work at Walt Disney World in September of 1971 at  Disney’s Contemporary Resort. At the start, he thought this would be a short-term position to put himself through college. 50 years later, it is clear that it became much more than that. Throughout his career at Disney, he has held multiple leadership positions. This includes being the President of Disneyland Resort and also Walt Disney World Resort. All of his positions have been in Disney Parks, Experiences and Products where he is President of Segment Development and Enrichment now.

Throughout his career, Kalogridis has been at the center of many exciting things. He helped start the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival and the Frozen Summer Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. He also led Walt Disney World Resort during a period of substantial growth that included Pandora – The World of Avatar, Toy Story Land, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Along with his duties as President of Segment Development and Enrichment, he also is the Global Ambassador for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration. Because of this legendary man and legendary career, George A. Kalogridis now has been honored with a window on Main Street, USA at Magic Kingdom.
