Swiss Meltdown AquaMouse Adventure Coming to Disney Wish

The Disney Wish is going to be nothing if not magical when guests get to cruise aboard her next summer. One of the features that Disney Wish will have is the AquaMouse. This is Disney’s first attraction at sea. When it was announced, details were shared about the attraction’s first show, Scuba Scramble. This is inspired by The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse shorts. Guests will get an underwater experience with Mickey and Minnie through multiple show scenes and special effects.

This won’t be the only experience guests will be able to experience on the AquaMouse, however. Disney has announced that there will be a second one as well. The second, entitled Swiss Meltdown, will take guests on a mountain sledding excursion that doesn’t go exactly as planned. As the sun comes out, the snow begins to melt. This leads to a frantic dash while trying to avoid obstacles like avalanches, leaky rock walls, and waterfalls. This story is inspired by the Mickey Mouse short Yodelberg. Composer Christopher Willis adapted his score from the episode for this attraction.

Eagle-eyed guests will be able to catch many of the Disney easter eggs that can be found on the AquaMouse. One of these will be the abominable snowman from the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland. Another fun detail is that Chip and Dale are both hiding somewhere in each show, hitchhiking their way to Castaway Cay. Guests are challenged to find these easter eggs and more while plummeting through the AquaMouse and its 60-plus water blasters, misters, and pop jets that are on the attraction.

Disney also shared two posters for both of the adventures being offered on the AquaMouse. These will be shown in the attraction queue to let guests know which adventure is being offered on each day of the voyage.

The Disney Wish will set sail with guests in the summer of 2022. What do you think of the AquaMouse? Are you excited about both of these adventures? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
