Walt Disney World Relaxes Temperature Screenings Starting May 16

Walt Disney World has just changed their policies regarding temperature screenings and will be reflected in a few days. In the My Disney Experience app and on the Walt Disney World website there is the announcement that temperature screenings will no longer be required for guests starting May 16. Prior to that, cast members will not be screened starting May 8.

Within both of these areas Disney has said that the decision came out of guidance from the CDC and local health officials. There is also encouragement to get vaccinated.

It is a welcome sight to see that some policies that were COVID specific are starting to go away. Since it is out of consulting with several officials it seems safe to implement. This is also being implemented only at the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort will keep their temperature screenings for now.
