On the Disney Parks Blog a big reveal of the 2023 expansion for Tokyo DisneySea was revealed. Videos showed off the Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan areas of the land. It was noted that it will be the largest expansion of the park and Resort since its opening. As part of the expansion, a new deluxe hotel will be a back entranceway into the port and the park.
The models are highly detailed with a full-sized Rapunzel tower, Captain Hook pirate ship, and Arendelle castle to be featured in the port/land. Immersive attractions and restaurants are said to be a part of it. What exactly those attractions and restaurants are to be will be revealed later. It’s also not said exactly when it will open except for the year: 2023.
This looks to be an incredible addition to TDS, with rich detail of the environment and some nods to the other storybook movies from Disney. Besides Mermaid Lagoon, which is based on Little Mermaid, this is the other port in DisneySea that features Disney movies throughout. One more note, the entranceway featured gave vibes of Galaxy’s Edge entrances. Anybody else have this too? Feel free to comment in the section below!
