Character dining is returning to Makahiki Restaurant’s breakfast offerings starting on May 7th at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. The return of character dining will be adjusted and done in according with health and safety protocols because of the ongoing pandemic.
With the return of the character breakfast, Mickey Mouse and friends will join Aunty or Uncle for fun songs and entertainment while guests of the restaurant enjoy their three-course breakfast. Throughout guests’ experience at Makahiki, there will be opportunities to take photos with the Disney characters in a safe way.
Breakfast at Makahiki Restaurant will be available seven days a week at Aulani. Characters will be joining on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. Throughout May, character dining will be exclusive to guests of the resort.
Breakfast at Makahiki has plenty of delicious offerings. This includes macadamia nut pancakes with a Tahitian vanilla sauce or Hawaiian-style Loco Moco with hamburger steak. These are accompanied by pastries and seasonal fresh fruit. For kids, or keiki, there are Mickey and Minnie waffles available. This is either a Belgian Mickey waffle or a red velvet Minnie waffle.
