Disney Cruise Lines Suspends Departures Through May 2021

The Disney Cruise Line has extended its suspension of departures. Now, all departures will be suspended through May 2021. Along with that, all Disney Magic cruises have been cancelled through August 10, 2021. The decision was made by Disney Cruise Line in accordance with the guidelines that have been issued by U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The Disney Magic was scheduled to be in Europe for the summer. These cruises were cancelled through August 10th as it is expected that international borders will continue to remain closed.

Currently, Canada will not allow any ships to dock at a Canadian Port that has more than 100 passengers. This policy is set to be in place through February 28, 2022. Disney is currently figuring out what to do about the Disney Wonder cruises that are impacted because of this policy.

Disney Cruise Line also has had to cancel any cruises longer than 7 nights based on the conditional sail order from the CDC.

For passengers who have been impacted by any of these cancellations, Disney Cruise Line as some options. For those who have already paid in full, they have the choice of a cruise credit to be used for a future sailing or a full refund. Those guests who haven’t paid in full will automatically receive a refund of whatever they have already paid. These affected guests and travel agents will receive an email from Disney Cruise Line with details and next steps.

Disney suggests contacting a travel agent if that is what a cruise was booked through. If a cruise was booked directly from the Disney Cruise Line, once the email has been received, they can call (866) 325-6685 or (407) 566-7797 with any other questions they might have.
