LEGO Unveils Massive Mos Eisley Cantina Star Wars Set

LEGO has unveiled a new Star Wars set and it is massive. With 3,187 pieces, the Mos Eisley Cantina LEGO set recreates that iconic location where Luke meets Han for the first time in Star Wars: A New Hope.

This new set will be arriving on September 16 for LEGO VIP Fans and then on October 1st for the general public. It is currently available for pre-order on the LEGO Website for $349.99.

Here is the description from LEGO:

Enjoy quality me-time and relive iconic Star Wars: A New Hope moments with the awesome LEGO® Star Wars™ Mos Eisley Cantina (75290) construction model for display. This 3,187-piece Master Builder Series set features the Cantina with lots of authentic details to delight fans, plus attachable buildings to recreate a Mos Eisley city scene.

The set doesn’t just include the cantina though, it also has 21 mini-figures as well. It should be no surprise that Luke, Obi-Wan Kenobi, the droids, Han Solo, and Chewbacca are included in this set. However, it also includes Ponda Baba™, Dr. Evazan™, Garindan™, Kardue’Sai’Malloc™, three members of the Cantina band, Jawa™, Sandtroopers™ a Dewback™ and many more.

The set is also full of Easter Eggs and has the ability to recreate iconic moments from the original film. The Mos Eisley Cantina model measures over 7.5” (19cm) high, 20.5” (52cm) wide and 23” (58cm) deep when opened.

“In the words of Obi-Wan Kenobi™, the Mos Eisley Cantina™ may be filled with danger, but it’s also an epic build that takes fans back to one of the classic moments in the Star Wars™ saga. Introduced in Star Wars: A New Hope, the Cantina is the hub of underworld activity in the Tatooine spaceport of Mos Eisley, filled with smugglers and bounty hunters making deals and starting trouble,” LEGO said about the set.
