Disney+ Streaming Service Brings Home First Emmy Awards

As the Disney+ streaming service closes in on its first full year of operation, it’s starting to earn awards for the original content! This week, Disney+ has brought six Creative Emmy awards total for The Mandalorian and Forky Asks a Question!

On Wednesday, The Mandalorian brought five Creative Emmy awards home to the streaming service. The awards this series won include Outstanding Special Visual Effects, Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series, Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series, Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series, and Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Program. The series was nominated for 19 categories total and it is incredible to see how many they won!

Last night, Forky Asks a Question won the Emmy for Outstanding Short Form Animated Program. The series won specifically for the episode “What Is Love?” The animated program was up against giants Robot Chicken and Steven Universe Future. In even more exciting news, this marks Pixar’s first Emmy award! We are thrilled to see this and are excited about the future!

After the first year of Disney+ being available in North America, we are certain that there can only be more fantastic programming coming. After The Mandalorian season 2 trailer dropped earlier this week, we are certain that there will be more awards in the future for Disney+!
