Join a Free Virtual Field Trip to the Jim Henson Exhibition in New York

Staying at home just became more fun! Tomorrow, August 19 from 1pm-2pm PDT, you can spend your afternoon with a free virtual field trip to the Jim Henson Exhibition! This is your chance to see inside the Museum of Moving Image in New York and see the history of Jim Henson!

Barbara Miller, the Director of Curatorial Affairs, will lead guests on a guided tour through the Jim Henson Exhibition! The tour will cover all the phases of Henson’s career and include history from Sesame Street to The Fraggles. In the event information, it notes that questions are welcomed and will be answered as Miller leads the tour.

If you binged Prop Culture on Disney+ earlier this year, you may recognize the Museum of Moving Image! On the episode dedicated to The Muppet Movie, Daniel Lanigan took a trip to New York to see this exhibition in person! In the episode, Barbara Miller showed off the original Kermit puppet as well as the headband Jim Henson wore during filming. It is exciting to think of what else you could possibly see during the tour!

If you want to take part in this virtual field trip, you will need to RSVP here! This tour is part of the Culture Pass program in New York but you do not need a library card to participate! Simply fill out your name and contact information and you will be provided with a way to connect with the Museum of Moving Image! Easy as that!

Will be joining this virtual field trip? Be sure to connect with us on Twitter and Facebook to let us know what you’re most excited to see!
