Walt Disney Company Matches Cast Member Donations

The Walt Disney Company is committed to matching the donations of Cast Members. This reminder came on social media as people rallied together to support #blacklivesmatter in the wake of the killing of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer. Disney released a statement regarding its commitment to inclusion and equality. It also commits to matching Cast Member donations from $25 to $25,000.

Disney’s matching program is a 1:1 match to donations by both part-time and full-time Cast Members. Disney will match donations to most non-profit organizations. On top of matching donations, Disney will also volunteer grants as well. The contribution amount is based on the amount of hours a Cast Member volunteers in a calendar year:

  • 10-24 hours –> $100 grant
  • 25-49 hours –> 250 grant
  • 50-74 hours –> $500 grant
  • 75-149 hours –> $1,000 grant
  • 150+ hours –> $2,000 grant
