The Bowers Museum will be shutting its doors to guests starting on Tuesday, March 17th. The announcement came via an email that was sent to members over the weekend. This comes just weeks after it opened a new exhibit focusing on The Walt Disney Archives. Inside the Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserve the Magic gives guests a chance to look at some of the treasures of The Walt Disney Company from the 50-year legacy of the Disney Archives. The exhibit is currently scheduled to remain at the Bowers Museum through August 30, 2020.
At this time, the Bowers Museum is expecting to be closed from March 17 through March 31st. During this time the Bowers staff will continue to get paid. This includes both salaried and hourly employees. DAPS MAGIC will continue to follow this story, as well as many others and give updates as they become available.
