Detail from the Mind of Peyton Manning

Exclusively on ESPN+: Detail with Peyton Manning Breaks Down Saints QB Drew Brees

Manning analyzes Brees’ successful return from thumb surgery vs. Arizona Cardinals in Week 8; Exclusively on ESPN+, available on the ESPN App, ESPN.com and connected TV devices

In the newest episode of the NFL edition of Detail, legendary quarterback Peyton Manning examines the Week 8 return of New Orleans QB Drew Brees, who played his first game since suffering torn ligaments in his thumb during a Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Brees, the NFL’s all-time leader in career passing yards and pass completions, left no doubt he was ready play, throwing for 373 yards and 3 touchdowns in New Orleans’ 31-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday. Manning breaks down the Saints’ offensive strategy and Brees’ own veteran savvy that enabled his strong return to the field.

This episode featuring Brees is the fifth of eight in this second season of the NFL edition of Detail. So far this season Manning has analyzed the performances of Seahawks QB Russell Wilson in Seattle’s 30-29 win versus the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5, Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott during the Cowboys’ victory over Miami in Week 3, Eagles QB Carson Wentz in Philadelphia’s 34-27 win at Green Bay during Week 4, and Indianapolis quarterback Jacoby Brissett in the Colts’ Week 7 win over Houston. These episodes – and all editions of Detail – are available now on ESPN+.

For the NFL edition of Detail, the two-time Super Bowl champion Manning selects NFL games throughout the season and analyzes the film, working in collaboration with NFL Films and Kobe Bryant’s Granity Studios to write, host and share his insights for each episode. Other editions of Detail include Bryant on basketball and former UFC two-division champion Daniel Cormier analyzing top UFC fighters.
