Sunday Spotlight: The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure

Sunday Spotlight: The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure

On June 3, 2011, The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure opened at Disney California Adventure. This dark ride tells the story of The Little Mermaid and can be found in the former home of Golden Dreams. The attraction utilizes an omnimover system and recreates many of the magical moments from the film.

The exterior of the attraction at the Disneyland Resort is fashioned after a 20th-century aquarium. Once guests enter the building there is a massive hand-painted mural showcases many of the stories’ characters. Guests board large clamshells and then head under the sea to relive the story of The Little Mermaid.
