Nutcracker and the Four Realms Preview

Disney California Adventure Previews The Nutcracker and the Four Realms at Sunset Showcase Theater with Introduction by Mackenzie Foy

This weekend Disney California Adventure began showing a preview of The Nutcracker and the Four Realms in the Sunset Showcase Theater. This preview has an introduction by actress Mackenzie Foy, who plays Clara in the film.

The presentation begins with an introduction by Foy. Then the preview begins. It shows what appears to be the first few minutes of the film, setting up the premise for what the movie is about. It then goes into basically a trailer for the rest of the film. For the general preview, there doesn’t seem to be a video in the lobby. Classical Nutcracker music is playing mixed with some new music written for the soundtrack. There are some fun posters and displays to be found in the entrance and exit to the Sunset Showcase Theater.

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Description

Disney’s “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” showcases the wondrous journey of Clara, who finds herself in a strange and mysterious parallel world, home to a host of eccentric characters and no shortage of surprises. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip, a gang of mice, and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Philip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm and its ruling tyrant, Mother Ginger, to return harmony to the unstable world.

On Thursday night there was a special preview of this presentation for Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders. At the beginning of it, Mackenzie Foy made an appearance to delighted fans. You can read more about it here.
