After 90 years in the entertainment industry, Minnie Mouse is finally getting her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! The ceremony, which will take place January 22 at 11:30 a.m. PST will feature presentations by Bog Iger, chairman and CEO of the Walt Disney Company, and Disney superfan Katy Perry. If you won’t be able to make it to the event, there will be exclusive footage on the official Walk of Fame website.
Minnie will be joining other members of the Disney family among the stars, including Donald Duck, Tinker Bell, Winnie the Pooh, Snow White, Kermit the Frog, and—of course—the one and only Mickey Mouse.
Since her debut in “Steamboat Willie” almost 90 years ago, Minnie has starred in over 70 films and has become an icon for fashion and symbol of family entertainment! Not only that but she uses her platform for change all over the world, using the #ShareYourEars campaign to donate $4 million to the Make-A-Wish Foundation between 2016 and 2017.
Are you excited to see Minnie’s star in front of the El Capitan Theater?
After 90 years of serving L👀KS & smiles as the polka dot queen, it's time she got that recognition 👏🏻! It will be a childhood and grown adult dream come true for me that day! ❤ https://t.co/rw6aYWYfNB
