Fantasyland and Toon Town Affected by Power Outage at Disneyland

Guests visiting Disneyland today were surprised when the power went out in both Fantasyland and Toon Town. According to Disneyland officials, the power went out on Wednesday morning due to malfunction with a transformer. This happened around 11:00 AM.

Due to the outage, guests had to be escorted off of about a dozen rides a Disney spokesperson confirmed to the L.A. Times. Some of the rides went back online around noon while others continued to be out of service.

This power outage takes place on one of the busiest weeks of the year at the Disneyland Resort. Each year thousands of guests descend on the happiest place on Earth to celebrate the holidays between Christmas and New Years.
