Halloween Time has arrived at Disneyland. This year there are more magical haunts to be found throughout the parks. In Disneyland once guests first enter the park they will find a host of characters to meet. Each of these characters are in costume and create magical moments to each person that approaches them. On the opening day the DAPs Magic team observed the following characters in Town Square:
- Mickey Mouse
- Minnie Mouse
- Chip
- Dale
- Pluto
- Goofy
- Donald Duck
- Cruella
- Jafaar
- Queen of Hearts
There may have been more, but these were the ones that the DAPs Magic team found. The Dapper Dans also added Halloween music to their repertoire. Up and down Main Street and in the Hub, Jack-O-Lanterns can be found. Which one is your favorite?
Haunted Mansion Holiday
Head into the west side of Disneyland through Frontierland and guests will notice the ever-popular Halloween tree has returned. Right across Frontierland the Día de Muertos area has returned. Jack Skellington and Sally can be found meeting guests in New Orleans Square. Jack has also returned to take over the Haunted Mansion and turn it into the Haunted Mansion Holiday. This year there is an extra special Oogie Boogie gingerbread house!
Ghost Galaxy
Ghost Galaxy has returned this year. As has happened in years past, Space Mountain has been haunted by a ghost. Just like Haunted Mansion Holiday, this attraction was incredibly popular on the first day of Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. If you plan on riding either of these when visiting the park, get a Fastpass or plan to get to one of these attractions first thing in the morning. A great plan is to grab a Fastpass for one and then immediately go on the other before the lines get long. This gets even easier with MaxPass.
Mickey’s Halloween Party
Mickey’s Halloween Party is more popular than ever this year. At the time of this writing, it appears that all tickets have been sold for all dates. This could change at any time though. However, with the popularity of Halloween at the Disneyland Resor this year, don’t get your hopes up too high.
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort appears to be more popular than ever this year. Judging by the crowds coming in throughout the day and into the night (Harbor was a nightmare at around 9:00 PM because it was so busy with people trying to get into the Toy Story Parking Lot), this year will be a very busy Halloween Time. So if you intend on experiencing the Halloween festivities at Disneyland, bring your patience!
