On Saturday March 18, 2017 Disneyland will celebrate 50 years of pirates singing “Yo ho!” in the iconic attraction Pirates of the Caribbean. This attraction spawned off other pirate attractions around the globe at various Disney theme parks, live shows, multiple movies, and even served as the inspiration for a new land at Disney’s newest theme park Shanghai Disneyland.
To celebrate this milestone, Disneyland will be offering several fun things this week starting on March 16th when pirate-themed food will begin to be offered at the French Market Restaurant, Mint Julep Bar, Harbour Galley, Royal Street Verandah, Cafe Orleans and the beautiful Blue Bayou Restaurant.
On Friday and Saturday, March 17th and 18th, experience pirate-themed entertainment offerings in New Orleans Square. The Bootstrappers and Lucky the Pirate will help celebrate this big anniversary.
Merchandise commemorating the big event will also be available in New Orleans Square while supplies last. This will be limited-edition for the anniversary so get in there fast to get yours! Learn how to talk like a pirate also with collectable pirate speak cards. This is all that has been announced so far but keep a weather eye as you can guarantee there is more coming!
