Disneyland’s Fantasy in the Sky has returned to the skies over Disneyland. This firework spectacular has been appearing in different incarnations at the Disneyland Resort since 1958.
It was a regular nighttime offering until 1999 in preparation for Disneyland’s 45th anniversary, Believe… There’s Magic in the Stars. A variation of this was also created for the Holiday season, Believe… In Holiday Magic.
This was followed briefly by Imagine…A Fantasy in the Sky. In 2005, Remember… Dreams Come True helped celebrate the 50th anniversary of Disneyland.
Halloween Screams came to the Disneyland Resort for Halloween starting in 2009. This fireworks spectacular has continued to light up the skies over Disneyland every Halloween Time since. It is now only presented for those visiting Mickey’s Halloween Party.
Between 2009 and 2014, Disneyland also presented Magical: Disney’s New Nighttime Spectacular of Magical Celebrations. It would alternate between Remember…Dreams Come True (spring), Halloween Screams (Halloween Time, now just parties), and Believe… In Holiday Magic (Holidays) throughout the years.
Through the last few years Disneyland has also had various fireworks presentations to also celebrate the Fourth of July. Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky is one of these celebrations.
Disneyland Forever appeared above the skies of the Disneyland Resort as a part of it’s 60th anniversary Diamond Celebration. This fireworks presentation was the most immersive with lasers, projections, fire, searchlights, snow and of course fireworks to share Disney magic of both Disneyland and also many Disney movies.
The Disneyland Resort has a long history with fireworks that goes back all the way to 1956. Fireworks have always offered that beautiful “kiss goodnight” to the end of a day at the Disneyland Resort. What is your favorite fireworks spectacular above the Disneyland Resort?
