Only one month away until Disney California Adventure Park debuts ‘Frozen – Live at the Hyperion.’ So far, Disney Parks Blog has shared a few sneak peeks of the film to stage process.
This week, the blog provides a look at some of the music set to fill the theater. Frozen, which is known for its popular songs, will continue to bring the energy from the film. Songs such as “In Summer” and “Love is an Open Door” will be included in the show, plus more!
Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment teamed up with music supervisor and arranger Jason Michael Webb, known for his work on projects such as “The Color Purple” and “Motown: The Musical,” to help the show’s process. Webb told the blog, “One of the first things that comes to mind when I think of Disney is the music. I’ve always loved how the songs and orchestral score to each Disney film is a character on its own. Getting to know the music of the ‘Frozen’ film has been a joy, but taking it a step further to help create this world premiere stage version has been the most thrilling for me.”
The musical is said to provide a wide range of songs, including solos, duets and more.
