Announced today on the Disney Parks Blog is the Rivers of Light premiere date.  April 22, 2016 – Earth Day – will be the official premiere date for the nighttime spectacular.  Set on the Discovery River in Animal Kingdom, this night show will feature water screens, projections, and other light elements to show off an ancient lantern festival.  Spirit guides in the form of animals will make an appearance, and two storytellers will take guests through this fantastic water and light display.  Here’s a link to the Disney Parks Blog post, and below is Disney Parks’ video showing off some of the storytelling effects for the new show.
