Harrison Ford Provides New Details on Upcoming Disney Parks ‘Stars Wars’ Experience

Noted a while back, the public was informed that the one and only Harrison Ford would share some very exciting details on the new Star Wars themed lands of Disneyland park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios park, during ABC’s “Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60.” On Sunday, we finally got that chance!

With new themed attractions, shops and more, guests will be thrown into the midst of any Star Wars fan’s ultimate dream. During the ABC broadcast, Ford introduced a first look at the “Star Wars Experience.” Though the full layout of the upcoming themed land is still being kept tight-lipped, this quick peek is just what we needed.

During the presentation, viewers were shown never before seen concept art and more such as the Cantina, local street markets and one of the best dinner clubs in the galaxy. In addition, we got a glimpse of the two new attractions heading our way in action. One attraction in particular…the Millennium Falcon! You, yes you, can pilot this epic ship and use its blasters during a “customized secret mission”(noted on Disney Parks Blog). As for the other attraction, guests appear in the middle of battle between First Order Stormtroopers and the Resistance.

The Star Wars Experience will take guests to a “never-before-seen planet, a remote trading port and one of the last stops before wild space where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life.” Check out these various photos that will soon become reality.

Here’s to the new Star Wars themed lands of Disney Parks! Stay tuned for more information on this project!
