Coming to Disney Parks is that of brand new menus featuring allergy-friendly options. Over 120 quick service and table service locations will have allergy-friendly menus, according to Disney Parks Blog.
As of April 14, the article states that these new menus will begin to be introduced at the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. These new menu items will be ready and convenient to order. The new menu will specifically state what allergies are in the meal and will have a main awareness of allergies such as gluten/wheat, milk, peanut, tree nut and fish.
Gary Jones, chef and culinary dietary specialist for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts said, “Over the years, the number of guests with food allergies and intolerances has continued to grow. In 2013 alone, our cast members assisted with more than 650,000 special dietary requests. These new allergy menus are another way in which we can provide high-quality, safe and more accessible alternatives, and the best possible dining experience for guests with specific dietary needs.”
If guests still do have any questions in regards to their meal, consulting a restaurant chef or special diets trained cast member will still be available.
The new menus will take time integrating into the parks. It has been noted that the allergy-friendly menus will debut at signature restaurants first.
