This week, the Walt Disney World Resort celebrates 40 years of Carousel of Progress attraction. Originally debuting at the Disneyland Resort in 1967, this attraction made its way to the Magic Kingdom in 1975.

This morning, Disney Parks Blog shared a video of Walt Disney himself discussing the plans of the beloved attraction. Concepts of this attraction were viewed by many when “Disneyland Goes to the World’s Fair,” aired on television in May of 1964. If you would like to see how Imagineers and Walt worked on this project, check out the video below. Here you will get a glimpse of what it took to make this attraction so unique and loved by many.

Don’t forget, “there’s a great big beautiful tomorrow.”
