Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Honored During the 21st Annual Thea Awards

This week, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts were awarded several honors from the Themed Entertainment Associated (TEA) during their 21st annual Thea Awards. Those that were recognized showed strong achievements in the themed entertainment industry.

First off, Disneyland’s “it’s a small world” attraction in Anaheim, California, was awarded the the Thea Classic. Steve Birket, TEA president, called the attraction a “timeless classic,” and “a metaphor for our increasingly global industry.”

Other honors were awarded to Bistrot Chez Remy at Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris, France, and Wilderness Explorers at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida.

In addition to these awards, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Associations (IAAPA) honored Tokyo Disney Resort’s Once Upon a Time with their Brass Rings Awards in Best Multimedia Spectacular.
