Knott’s Merry Farm is in full effect. From now until January 4, Knott’s Berry Farm will celebrate the holidays. During this time of year, there are so many great things to enjoy to make this season full of memories. Let’s take a look at the park’s offerings.
Over in Ghost Town, there are a variety of crafts and shops featuring all things holiday inspired. The Knott’s Christmas Crafts Village houses some amazing artists demonstrating glass blowing and chainsaw sculpting, daily. Those wishing to attend and view the area, admission to the Craft Village is free Monday through Thursday (Nov. 22 – Dec. 18). On Friday through Sunday, access to the Village is included with theme park admission. Also in Ghost Town, the Bird Cage Theater will have several shows daily of O’ Henry’s “The Gift of the Magi” and “A Christmas Carol.” Even the very talented Dickensian Vocal Quartet will be walking around greeting visitors with festive Christmas songs.
If you are looking for Santa Claus and some yummy treats, the Wilderness Dance Hall has been transformed into Santa’s Christmas Cabin. From cookies, to eggnog, s’mores on a stick and more, this is the place to be. This location is decorated perfectly for this time of year. On top of that, Santa will be there asking what you have on your Christmas list.
Camp Snoopy has even been decorated for the holidays. You can meet Christmas Snoopy and pals at his dog house. If you are unable to meet Christmas Snoopy, have no fear. You can see him during “Lucy’s Wish List” show at the Camp Snoopy Theater. Here Lucy discusses what she wants for Christmas but she soon learns that Christmas is not all about the gifts.
When walking through the park, be sure to check out Engine 41, which has been completely decorated. Fellow Ghost Town residents are sure to discuss their holiday time plans with you.
This year, the Charles M. Schulz theater brings the new “Merry Christmas, Snoopy” ice skating show. This stunning show features an extremely talented cast of ice skaters. Snoopy and the Peanuts, along with the skaters, give a performance in a variety of skits. The musical selection and on stage costumes are sure to make you ready for the holidays. This show will be presented on select days. Please be sure to check your entertainment guide.
It can’t be the holidays without a tree lighting ceremony and snow. Over at the Calico Square Stage, “Snoopy’s Merriest Tree Lighting” brings forth Santa’s elves as they prepare for a special tree lighting for all to see. Will they be ready in time for Santa? With some help from Snoopy, anything can be done in time. In addition to the tree lighting, Ghost Town will have snow! During “Glow and Snow,” holiday time music and snow fill the area. During this time, the holiday lights sparkle along with the music.
