(March 15, 2012, Hong Kong) The ever-popular Star Guest Program returns to Hong Kong Disneyland this year, from today through May 20, with even more magical experiences to surprise and delight Guests. The Resort and its Cast Members have yet again increased their efforts to continue to put imagination in action to ensure Guests have an unforgettable day at Hong Kong Disneyland. From the moment Guests pin the Star Guest badge on their VIPs, they are bound to be delighted by the new and exciting magical moments the Park has dreamt up, including playtime at Toy Story Land now even more enjoyable, as well as the brand new “Star Princess Tour,” which will allow the children an opportunity to be treated like a Princess. These and many more magical moments and Star Experiences make Hong Kong Disneyland the perfect place to thank and appreciate their VIPs.
Magical moments to be found in Toy Story Land and beyond
While enjoying the Star Guest Program, Guests may be one of the lucky VIP’s to enjoy some of the new magical moments at Toy Story Land. Guests have the chance to meet the Toy Soldiers as they surprise some of the Star Guests and ride alongside them on the 25-meter drops of Toy Soldier Parachute Drop. Guests may even been challenged by Cast Members with puzzles and games, from brainteasers put forth as RC Racer reaches its 27-meter apex or a test of one’s ability to identify pictures of Disney characters while riding the rollicking Slinky Dog Spin.
These are just a few of the numerous magical moments which are waiting to surprise and delight Star Guests during their visit to Hong Kong Disneyland. Star Guests should keep a lookout in Adventureland, as the rafts to Tarzan’s Treehouse may suddenly be commandeered by pirates. Also, Guests may be lucky enough to run into Donald and Daisy, dressed in their expedition gear, as well as having the opportunity for an up close experience with some other Disney friends like Timon and Rafiki from “Lion King” and Carl and Russell from “UP.” The OHANA Team will also be awaiting VIP Guests at every corner of the Park, ready to make Star Guests visit even more memorable.
Immerse VIPs in fairy tales with the new Star Princess Tour
The brand new “Star Princess Tour” offers children aged 3 to 11 a guided tour which will provide them a taste of life as a Princess, allowing them to meet and greet some of their favorite Disney Princesses, take part in Princess Stories storytelling time, and enjoy the Flights of Fantasy Parade from a special viewing area. Numerous other magical moments await these little Princesses throughout the tour, as well as a special Princess Goodie Bagto take home. A dedicated photographer will even follow the tour to capture all the special moments of this unforgettable experience.
“All our Cast Members are excited to put their expertise in action during the Star Guest Program through the creation of these unique and heartfelt magical moments for Guests and their VIPs. This year, fresh from the opening of Toy Story Land, we have already dreamt up some special magical moments in Toy Story Land for extra playtime fun,” said Wendy Chu, Director of Marketing, Hong Kong Disneyland. “We’re also launching a new princess-themed Star Experience, as Disney Princesses have always been very popular with Guests. Surveys indicate that, among Guests aged 3 to 11; Snow White is the most popular princess, followed by Cinderella, Princess Aurora (from the animated movie Sleeping Beauty) and Ariel (from the animated movie The Little Mermaid). This new offering, the “Star Princess Tour,” will make sure that all little Guests have an opportunity to truly feel like a Princess.”
The Star Guest magic begins as soon as Guests collect a Star Recognition Packand pin the Star Guest badge on their VIPs. With their honorary status on display, VIPs will be treated to magical moments throughout the Park. The Star Recognition Pack also includes a Star Guest Souvenir Book, whichwill not only serve as a cherished memento of their enchanting day, but is also filled with fun activities that will lead Guests on an adventure through the Park to enjoy special surprises! In addition, Star Guests can show their appreciation to the Cast Members by presenting one of their recognition cards – found in the Pack – to thank Cast Members who have helped make their day even more magical.
Disney’s Prestige Tour offers unparalleled Disney experience
For an even more exclusive and seamless visit, Guests and their VIPs can join theDisney’s Prestige Tour to enjoy a three hour guided tour featuring priority entrance to Toy Story Land and other attractions, as well as reserved seating at various theater shows. The tour, which starts at HK$3,888 for groups of up to six people, provides exceptional VIP treatment bound to impress and provide endless excitement.
Star Fireworks Dinner provides the perfect finale to a perfect day
An amazing evening awaits Guests who select the Star Fireworks Dinner, filled with entertainment and tantalizing delights. The night begins with a pre-dinner mocktail and photo opportunity with Disney friends, followed by viewing the spectacular Disney in the Stars fireworks from a VIP location, and concludes with a delectable full course Chinese dinner at Plaza Inn. This magical dining experience is available nightly for HK$360 per Guest (minimum of two Guests per booking).
Star Photography Package gives VIPs moments in the spotlight
VIPs will feel like true superstars with their own personal paparazzi with the Star Photography Package, which features a dedicated photographer who will capture all the special moments of their visit to the Park. Guests will not only leave with prints of their favorite shots, but also get to take home souvenir key chains and their very own one-time-use Disney themed camera. This Star Experience is available for HK$998 per group.
Not to be missed special dining promotion
During the Star Guest Program, Guests who wish to recharge and spend a relaxing afternoon with their VIPs can enjoy the new Magical Afternoon High Tea Set at Main Street Corner Café from April 2 to May 20 for HK$278 (for two). Furthermore, during the Easter holidays, from April 6 to 9, Guests will also be able to indulge in special Easter dining promotions at designated restaurants in the Resort’s two themed hotels, including festive sets starting from HK$128.

 Star Princess Tour is available from March 15 to May 19 on Saturdays & Sundays, public holidays and April 2 to 13 at HK$1,288 per child (aged 3 -11) and HK$400 per Guest aged 12 or above. Each child must be accompanied by a guest aged 16 or above. Children may wear their own princess costume or shop at the merchandise stores in the Park. The approximately 3-hour fixed time group experience starts from 11:00am (conducted in Cantonese; maximum group size is 80 Guests). Availability is on first-come-first served basis.
