NEWSIES the Musical Rehearsals Continue for Upcoming Performances

Disney's Newsies the MusicalNewsies will be dancing on to the stage this weekend! As opening night draws nearer and nearer, a video of rehearsals has been released by Disney On Broadway. Newsies is a musical about the 1899 labor strike organized by a group of young “newsies.” It is a stage adaptation of the 1992 film of the same name.

Newsies will be opening at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, N.J. on September 15th and continue through October 16th, 2011. Newsies will have music from the movie’s original composer Alan Menken along with lyrics from Jack Feldman who was the lyricist for the movie. They are joined by Harvey Fierstein who wrote the book for this play.

Tickets can be purchased at: http://www.papermill.org/
