Mickey hosts 20 nights of tame Halloween fun

Walt Disney World has released details of this year's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party — its tame alternative to Universal Orlando's very scary Halloween Horror Nights.

The Disney event will be held on 20 nights at the Magic Kingdom. They are Sept. 14, 21, 28 and 30; Oct. 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30 and 31; and Nov. 2.

Guests can dress in costumes and trick-or-treat through the park from 7 p.m. until midnight. Disney says the costumes, for safety reasons, should not be "obstructive or offensive."

Nightly events include a "Boo-to-You" Halloween parade and a "Happy HalloWishes" fireworks show, plus the regular Magic Kingdom attractions.

Tickets are $45.95 plus tax for ages 10 and up and $39.95 plus tax for ages 3 to 9.

Advance-purchase savings ($38.95 plus tax for ages 10 and up and $32.95 plus tax for ages 3 to 9) are available for certain evenings. Advance-purchase savings are not available for the event on Sept. 21, Sept. 28, Oct. 5, Oct. 12, Oct. 18, Oct. 25, Oct. 26 and Oct. 31.
