ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 5 (UPI) — The seven space shuttle Endeavour astronauts who returned to Earth Aug. 21 will be honored this week during ceremonies at Florida's Walt Disney World.
The Endeavour crew will meet with reporters, attend a plaque dedication atDisney World's Epcot theme park and answer questions submitted by park guests. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Endeavour crew will also be honorary grand marshals at the Magic Kingdom's Thursday afternoon parade.
A Thursday morning education session will include students from the Oak Ridge High School Aviation and Aerospace Academy Magnet Program in Orlando, Fla.; the Osceola High School Aviation Academy in Kissimmee, Fla.; and Orlando-area fourth- and fifth-graders. The education session will be Webcast live on NASA-TV.
The Endeavour crew members are Cmdr. Scott Kelly, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Dave Williams and NASA astronauts Charlie Hobaugh, Tracy Caldwell, Rick Mastracchio, Barbara Morgan and Alvin Drew.
