Disney shows to air on Orange mobiles

The Disney Channel has signed a deal with Orange to air several of its shows on mobile phones.

Mobile phone users with 3G handsets will be able to view a selection of live-action and animated shows, starting with Recess, That's So Raven and Kim Possible from this month.
The service in the UK is part of a larger pan-European deal with Orange to provide content to mobile phones that will be available to customers in Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal, Poland, The Netherlands, Romania and Slovakia. Disney also plans to launch the service in France.
John Hardie, executive vice-president and managing director of Disney  Channels EMEA, said the target audience was increasingly demanding to watch TV on the move.
