The Disneyland Resort All-American College Band came into existence in 1971. Since its inception, this program has given students from colleges and universities around the United States the opportunity to get hands-on experience learning what it is like to be a part of the entertainment industry. They also get to perform throughout this process throughout the Disneyland Resort during the summer.

The band performs both in a sit-down jazz band setting and also in several marching band settings. The jazz sets include special guest clinicians throughout the summer. These clinicians have included Steve Houghton, Wayne Bergeron, Gregg Field, John Clayton, Jiggs Whigham, and Rick Baptist, and more. These clinicians bring first-hand knowledge of what the music industry is like. Members of the college band focus on an emphasis during the program of one of the following: Composition and Arranging; Careers in Music; Recording and Production.
